Aniane : "guerre à la guerre"

Le monument d’Aniane dans l’Hérault  où une phrase en occitan est inscrite : « La guerra qu’on vougut es la guerra a la guerra/ Son morts per nostra terra et per touta la terra ». Soit : « la guerre qu’ils ont voulue est la guerre à la guerre/Sont morts pour notre terre et pour toute la terre ». C’est à dire pour toute l’humanité.

C'est une oeuvre de Jacques Louis Robert Villeneuve, sculpteur, né à Bassan le 1 ier Janvier 1863, élève de Thomas et Injalbert. Sa carrière s'est déroulée essentielement à Paris. Toutefois il garda des liens avec sa région d'origine et y produit un grand nombre d'oeuvres. Le MARSYAS à Montpellier est une de ses oeuvres les plus représentative. Jacques Villeneuve réalisa aussi des monuments aux morts (dont celui d'Aniane), des Républiques et des tombeaux.

A Paris, Jacques Villeneuve expose à de nombreux salons dès 1888 et il participe à l'Exposition Universelle de 1900, où il travaille en particulier sur le Grand Palais. Il reçoit la médaille de première classe en 1904.

Je suis professeur d'occitan en Dordogne et je vais le conseiller à mes lycéens.
Pourriez-vous (si possible) dans vos traductions des textes des monuments du sud le mot"patois" par le mot "occitan" ou "langue d'oc".
